Q: How does the COIVD-19 SERA work?

The COVID-19 SERA works in a conversational manner by presenting patients with options to learn about COVID-19 topics and/or get screened and seek help. The screening protocol follows CDC guidelines and uses several risk factors to slot patients into one of 64 different screening scenarios based on patient responses.

Each scenario can be mapped to one of up to 9 care endpoints, as determined by the health system. At the end of the screening, the appropriate care endpoint and advice is presented back to the patient based on their responses.

Q: How many screening questions are asked? How long does screening take?

The COVID-19 SERA asks 10-15 questions covering a variety of risk factors based on CDC guidelines. The entire process takes just 2-3 minutes.

Q: Is the COIVD-19 SERA easy to deploy?

Very. Deploying the assistant just requires the addition of snippet of JavaScript to your website.

Q: Does the COIVD-19 SERA require integrations?

No. The assistant does not require any integrations. You can, however, direct patients to system-specific resources via pre-defined care endpoints.

Q: Does the COIVD-19 SERA ask for PHI?

No. There are no questions which personally identify the patient. However, if a patient inadvertently enters PHI, the solution is protected with industry standard security.

Q: How does contracting work for the COIVD-19 SERA?

To speed up the contracting process, we have developed a standard set of documents: a Master Services Agreement (7 pages), a Statement of Work (1 page), and a BAA (8 pages). Our Contracting Team will send you these documents for review and then issue a Docusign request to your authorized signatory to execute the agreements expediently. We are also open to redlining your BAA form if that will speed up the process.

Q: Is the COIVD-19 SERA HIPAA-compliant?

Yes, SERA is HIPAA compliant. All data is securely encrypted at rest and in transit. GYANT has the necessary administrative, physical, and technical safeguards in place to ensure compliance with HIPAA under a Business Associate Agreement.

Q: Can we brand the COIVD-19 SERA in our own colors and corporate design?

Yes. Our Implementation Team will help you configure colors, fonts, and logos during deployment. During the week of March 23, 2020, GYANT will also release a self-service configuration tool which allows your admin users to change colors and logos.

Q: Can we change the care endpoints and advice?

Yes. Our Implementation Team will help you configure the language for each of the 9 care endpoints. The endpoints are presented based on patient screening responses and direct patients to specific URLs and/or phone numbers. During the week of March 23, 2020, GYANT will release a self-service configuration tool which allows your admin users to configure and update the care endpoints.

Q: Who selects the care endpoints for each screening scenario?

You. Our Implementation Team will help you configure the logic to select an appropriate care endpoint based on the 64 screenings scenarios. During the week of March 23, 2020, GYANT will release a self-service configuration tool which will allow admin users to change which of the care endpoints are presented in each screening scenario.

Q: Where does the educational content come from?

Content in SERA is curated from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). GYANT’s medical team monitors relevant sources and the medical literature daily and updates the educational content and screening questions continuously. However, if you have your own content and would like to override the GYANT-curated content, our Implementation Team will help you configure the educational content to meet your specific community needs.

Q: What if I no longer like to use the COIVD-19 SERA?

No problem; simply remove the JavaScript and the assistant will no longer appear on your website.
