At GYANT, our mission is to make people better. We value diverse perspectives, candid feedback, and we’re excited to show off the people who work passionately toward our mission and embody our values.
GYANT is a nimble, multi-cultural, and cross-disciplinary team where each member is an expert in their discipline.
Chadd Rivera joined GYANT this year as Client Success Director. His experience working in the hospital & healthcare industry and expertise serving customers helps our team continue to make people better.
Let’s get to know Chadd a little bit more, shall we?
What attracted you to GYANT? What do you love about working at GYANT?
One of the more exciting and disruptive areas of health care IT is digital health and consumer. When I decided to take the next step in my career, I knew this is where I wanted to shift my focus. Within the space, GYANT’s technology, growth, and culture are unrivaled. So once I was introduced to GYANT, my focus was no longer working in the digital health space; it was to work at GYANT and be a part of what they (now we) were building.
What’s your favorite GYANT value and why?
Meritocracy of ideas. Having spent most of my career in large, long-standing corporations, change always seemed to move at a snail’s pace, and decisions were always made at a particular level and pushed down to the masses. At GYANT, everyone has a voice, and the idea is what wins, not the person’s title.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Naples, Florida, but I spent most of my adult life between Kansas City and Dubai and currently live in Denver.
What’s your favorite snack while working from home?
Trail mix, hands down. As the title suggests, it is the perfect mix of guilty pleasures and healthy treats.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my family and getting outdoors as much as possible.
If you weren’t in your current role, what do you think you’d be doing?
Tough question. Realistically, if I were not in Client Success, I would be in Operations. Now, if I could pick anything, I would either be a writer or in some type of job that would pay me to travel the world (with my family, of course).
Have you picked up any new hobbies or interests during the pandemic?
My kids were 2 and 4 during the pandemic, so little time for new hobbies. I suppose you could say I picked up part-time teacher skills.
What’s something cool that you’ve read, watched, or listened to recently?
My interests and curiosities tend to bounce around. If I were to pick the most recent exciting thing I’ve been looking into, it would have to be around the topic of the observable universe and the true limits of humanity. I won’t bore you here, but there is a ton of stuff out there on the topic—give it a google.
